Hi, I’m Randall Lavelot


I am an experienced Professional Nuclear Projects Manager in the Generation Division at Koeberg Nuclear Power Station, with a career spanning over 27 years across Project Planning, Project Engineering, Project Quality Management, Project Management, Programme Management. I am an Author of several books, Examination Invigilator, Researcher, Mentor, Safety Culture Co-ordinator and Systems Thinking Consultant for Problem Identification Assignments. I strive for continues improvements in Human Performance through regular Self-Assessments exercises at the Nuclear Power Plant.


I am holder of a Post Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Engineering and Technology (2009) and Master’s Degree in Engineering in Development and Management Engineering through North-West University (NWU) (2014) (Dissertation: A licensing plan for coupling a nuclear energy source to a chemical process plant – SASOL Secunda as a case study). I have received certificates recognizing his expertise, most notably is the assignment of a research consultant to the NWU South African ARCHER (Advanced High-Temperature Reactors for Cogeneration of Heat and Electricity R&D) team (2013), with the aim at identifying the implications of the licensing process on Nuclear Coal-To-Liquids production in South Africa. I am a holder of a PhD Degree in Engineering through North-West University. The originality of my research has resulted in numerous interests from the Nuclear Power Generation Industry.


I have received a certificate for Business Driven Action Learning and another for Leadership Development for Middle Management Programme through Hendley Business School in 2016. I hold a Professional Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
